As the Head of New Business Development, you will lead our efforts in expanding our client base and driving revenue growth. From your dynamic and analytical mindset, you will work closely with the marketing and sales teams on strategic lead generation and segmentation in both B2G and B2B markets, with a focus on achieving measurable business development metrics. By identifying opportunities for improvement, you will develop and implement effective digital strategies that nurture prospects and convert them into customers.

Your role

  • Drive lead generation and segmentation: You’ll develop and implement strategic initiatives for lead generation and segmentation in B2G and B2B markets utilising market research and data analysis to identify potential clients and market segments
  • Use analytical metrics: You’ll establish, track, and report key metrics for new business development, including conversion rates, customer acquisition cost (CAC), return on investment (ROI), sales pipeline development, segmentation effectiveness, etc.
  • Take managerial responsibilities: You’ll lead and manage a team of 3, consisting of 2 Sales Development Representatives and 1 Marketing Campaign Manager, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to ensure the team meets and exceeds targets
  • Develop digital transformation: You’ll implement a digital transformation in B2B sales, emphasising online lead generation and engagement and leveraging social platforms such as LinkedIn and Twitter to meet potential customers where they are
  • Create content and global Go-to-Market strategy: You’ll work with a cross-functional team to build standardised global repeatable processes for simplified, outcome-based content creation that articulates the firm's industry offerings.
  • Implement measurement and optimisation: You’ll measure outcomes at multiple levels, allowing reps to monitor content performance and impact on deals and ensuring the content library includes valuable sales motions

Your qualifications

  • Strong background: You have proven experience in new business development, preferably in B2G and B2B sectors, with a track record of success
  • On the pulse: You have strong analytical skills and the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making
  • Leadership: You have previous experience managing and leading a team, with a track record of achieving targets
  • Other experience: Your familiarity with procurement processes, indirect spending, and 'tail spending' is advantageous
